NEW ALBUM FROM THE DEMON BEAT – “1956”

In Albums, Artists on December 11, 2010 at 12:22 am

We apologize for our lack of updates recently, but believe us, there has been A LOT going on. And it is in celebration of these happenings that we are ecstatic to announce that The Demon Beat will be releasing a brand new full-length on New Year’s Eve!

With 1956, The Demon Beat has expanded upon more spacey and psychedelic elements from previous records to make something entirely new altogether. The album was recorded in two long takes with minimal overdubs, so what you hear is about as bare-bones and pure as the band can get. It’s three guys in a basement, and the organic feel and overall chemistry of the band is at an all-time high here. Lyrically inspired by the famous Carl Perkins car wreck of 1956 that left him hospitalized while Elvis Presley rose to fame after recording a cover of Carl’s famous “Blue Suede Shoes”, 1956 is an ambitious and sonically deep album.

Check out this promotional teaser video:

The album will be available for physical purchase at The Demon Beat’s big NYE show at the V Club in Huntington, WV. Mail orders for physical copies will go up around this time as well as digital downloads.
